The Zebra is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our software engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your days will vary as one day you might be exploring edge cases to uncover hidden bugs, and the next, you’ll be automating UI and API acceptance tests to make our workflows faster and more reliable. Work as an embedded member of a product development team and participate in Agile ceremonies
Assess defects and advocate for quality
Plan, build, and implement automation of automated and/or API tests
Implement acceptance and exploratory testing
Identify testing gaps and implement tests for coverage
Perform investigative testing to assess the impact and root cause for issues
Mentor other team members
Strategize with other quality engineers across the organization to improve our SDLC and deployment processes
As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
5+ years of quality engineering experience with sophisticated mobile or web applications and software systems
UI automation experience using WebdriverIO
API automation in JavaScript/Typescript and/or Python
Ambitious problem solver who can own major projects and multiple initiatives
Demonstrated success creating API and/or UI automation test suites
Self-starter / proven ability to initiate and drive continuous improvement
Real passion for testing, attention to detail, and quality assurance
Prior experience with Gitlab
CI/CD experience
Knowledge of the insurance industry

Recruiter Interview: 30 minutes - Initial screening to assess alignment with the role, company, and core qualifications.
Hiring manager Interview: 30 minutes - Deep dive into quality engineering experience.
Technical interview: 75 minutes with our Senior Quality Engineers in WebDriver IO & Javascript.
Final Panel Interview: 90 minutes - Comprehensive behavioral assessment with our development teams.

The salary range for this position is $90,-$110,000 per year. The final salary amount will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and insights gained throughout the interview process.
