We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with a strong development background and expertise in development operations (DevOps). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between software development and IT operations, driving automation, ensuring system reliability, and enhancing deployment processes. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on contributions to build robust, scalable, and secure systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of operations and DevOps engineers.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and management using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security of production systems.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement effective incident response strategies.
  • Manage cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices in DevOps and system operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

What You'll Bring to Numerator

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in software development, operations, and DevOps.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Educational Qualifications

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, etc.).
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD workflows.
