Job Summary

Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to prepare financials and financial analysis reports for complex business units. Involves varied complex finance functions with responsibility for making non-routine decisions. Evaluation, originality and ingenuity are required to locate, select and apply appropriate procedures, processes and techniques to specific assignments. Regular contact with senior management and other internal customers is required to identify, research, and resolve accounting issues and problems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of preparing and running the quarterly AL model, preferably Empyrean experienced.
  • Reviews, evaluates and implements process improvements, as appropriate.
  • Reviews and evaluates suggestions for additional controls to improve current processes.
  • Analyses and reconciles general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification and integrity of information in the AL model.
  • Coordinates with senior management on the presentation and preparation of internal management reports that can be quickly reviewed by management.
  • Prepares quarterly Board Reports relevant to IRR and Liquidity Risk.
  • Prepared NIM projections for quarterly earnings call.
  • Prepares schedules for and interacts with internal/external auditors.
  • Lead the bank’s Annual Stress Test.
  • Prepares the bank’s balance sheet and interest related annual budget and continued updated projections.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Knowledge of

    • Advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
    • AL model experience, preferably Empyrean.
    • Financial products.
    • Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), SEC reporting

    Skill in

    • Preparing financial management reports.
    • Reviewing, interpreting and analyzing financial information.
    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets and complex databases.

    Ability to

    • Lead meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes.
    • Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.
    • Work independently, make non-routine decisions and solve complex accounting problems.
    • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives.
    • Establish and communicate clear directions and priorities.
    • Explain or clarify financial information to all levels of management.
    • Provide training to others.
    • Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

    Education

    Bachelor’s: Accounting, Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance

    Certifications

    Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
