Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Design, Industrial Engineering. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or automotive companies. Knowledge of the stamping or machining industries is essential.

Responsibilities
Generic Roles & Responsibilities
Interprets formability simulation results and resolves formability issues by recommending corrective actions.
Interprets and assesses die surface geometry, associated lines, and die action. Support engineering Changes to improve die designs and PVT requirements
Solves complex manufacturing die process issues.
Looking for MUD opportunities in dies to optimize blank costs.
Sets strategies and mentors the organization in the use of historical data to identify opportunities for improvement of planned maintenance activities.
Sets strategy for increasing the use of predictive and prescriptive maintenance tools and basic condition monitoring
Evaluates complex tooling (die) design concerns that are beyond the scope of established standards and specifications and resolves issues.
Researches the natural failure modes of a sheet metal stamping. Estimates the occurrence rate for a failure mode. Determine based in R&M process failure modes and update maintence schedule.
Researches complex tooling design standards and updates related CAD methodologies.
Makes adjustments (i.e. changes upgrades) to die tooling standards based on lessons learned according to analysis performed by PC T&D
Lead the die designs to establish maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements.
Develop timing for necessary Chroming and Nitrided tooling refurbishments and set up
Coordinate plant participation in tooling design, vendor reviews and equipment buyoffs.
Deep knowledge in production software to track die improvements.
Coordinate, develop and track training requirements for the T&D skilled trades.
Support Launch strategies to be applied in die designs.
Track cost approval, PO, invoice to payment, including initial budget, ECR and cost modifications. (Tooling count owner)
Manage T&D Operative System according to "T&D Model Resposibles chart"
