About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our team! Responsibilities include overseeing the company’s financial activities, including financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, while also contributing to strategic financial decision-making. Month-end close responsibilities include various AR and AP accrual journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will also be responsible for monthly analytical reviews to support the month-end close process.
Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the
USA and reside in one of the following states -
TX, FL, or CA - We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.
What You'll Be Doing
- Month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis
- Consolidations, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with local financial reporting and GAAP as well as compliance to internal policies
- Manage Fixed Assets
- Manage accounting operations in the US, including GL reconciliations
- Manage month-end close process, including creating/reviewing journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Property, sales and use tax and franchise tax returns
- Interface with management in various departments
- Cash reconciliation
- Cash analysis
- Cash management
- Assist with audit
- Assist with footnotes to the financial statements
- Banking relationship management
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4-6 years of operational Accounting experience
- Experience working in a hyper growth SaaS company is a plus
- GAAP experience is preferred and a strong understanding of accounting principles
- You see yourself as a problem-solver who consistently practices attention to detail
- Self-starter that’s ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Great at organizing your own work schedule with little or no guidance (you’ll get a lot of support but soon you’ll be the expert here)
- You are humble, comfortable operating with a high level of ambiguity, can act independently, be decisive and take responsibility
- Highly organized & analytical
- Experience managing vendor relationships, including third-party accountants
- Relevant accounting software: NetSuite, Excel
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks; strong organizational and time management skills are required
