A renowned title insurance agency in New York, NY is seeking a Commercial Title Examiner to join their growing team. This fully remote role involves conducting commercial title searches, reviewing real estate records, and compiling mortgage and contract information. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial title examinations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in preparing title commitments. They are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to support our team and clients effectively.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 / year DOE
Commercial Title Examiner Responsibilities
Conduct commercial title searches and examinations
Prepare title reports and commitments
Review legal documents related to property transactions
Analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy
Identify and resolve discrepancies or potential title issues
Work closely with attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders
Issue title insurance policies and coordinate underwriting decisions
Serve as a resource for title-related inquiries within the team
Maintain strong relationships with underwriting counsel
Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external parties
Utilize company systems and technology tools effectively
Commercial Title Examiner Requirements
High school diploma is required, bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
3-5+ years of commercial title examination experience is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read and analyze commercial title surveys
Experience with NY/NJ/PA title examination is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional customer service orientation
Ability to collaborate effectively and mentor others
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Experience working with title software is preferred but not required
