Job description

Manager data integration connects their technical passion and skills for integration solutions with communication and organizational management. They have a great understanding of integration concepts, technology and processes for data movement across and between organizations and can easily engage with both technical and non-technical resources.

This role is critical in ensuring and maintaining the operations of data flow across the Enterprise that empowers processes, insight and informed decision-making. They are the point of escalation for critical issues and service management around data integration and contribute to the roadmap for integration capabilities providing advice and recommendations on the future of integration platforms and technology for the enterprise.

They understand the criticality of data integrations, dependencies and technical solutions. They review and prioritise operational issues with support and delivery teams.  They collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business and client needs.

Remote based role.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • The manager of data integrations works with delivery teams to plan the smooth deployment of integration features and releases

  • The work with service providers to review issues, service requests service levels for the smooth flow of clinical data across Fortrea and with our clients.

  • Responsible for managing vendor delivery of issue resolutions and solution enhancements

  • Understand IT & business needs and ensure integrations meet those needs, ensure all technology solutions align with IT technical strategy and overall Fortrea architecture roadmap while adhering to organization standards.

  • Translate business and technical requirements into integration implementation. Provide technical guidance on solution design during planning phase, with a view on support and operations and ensure technical excellence in issue resolution

  • Diagnose complex issues and provide solutions when unit testing and integrations fail to meet specifications.

  • Translate knowledge of software and compliance regulations into software development/maintenance guidelines and standards

  • Partner with project teams and provide suggestions or recommendations on design and/or process improvement. Promote adherence to compliance and documenting changes

  • Ensure extensive testing and verification of test results during integration testing with other systems; Identify implementation risks and potential impacts; troubleshoot system errors and serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex errors.

  • Own delivery of test plans, technical and functional specifications.

  • Administer integration platform, monitor, secure REST/SOAP services, and manage API traffic flow, etc.

  • Track integration trends and relate these to planning current and future integrations needs.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • In-depth knowledge of integration best practices and cloud technology

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of integration architecture and engineering best practices.

  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to predict risks and prevent issues

  • Experience and certification with cloud, database and integration platforms. (e.g. Azure data factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure API management, Message bus, Kafka, data stream processing and etc.)

  • Knowledge of other integration technology (Mulesoft, TIBCO, SAP BODS ) a plus

  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code

  • Strong understanding of Real-time system integration, Data streams, APIs and ETL processes.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Extensive experience in data integration, integration platform management, or a similar development or support role.

  • Experience guiding and working with operational support teams

  • Experience in integration solution delivery,

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor (or Master's) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant professional certifications in Data Engineering and Cloud Technology (e.g., Azure).

  • Strong understanding of advanced data techniques, including data modeling and data mining.

  • Experience in a Clinical Research Organization or healthcare-related industry.

  • Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative developer culture.
