We are looking for a proactive and persuasive Collections Specialist to join our team in Romania. In this role, you’ll engage directly with customers whose payments are overdue, supporting them in resolving their debts while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach. Your ability to communicate, negotiate, and resolve issues will be critical to securing repayments and contributing to overall portfolio health. 


Your focus:

  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to customers with overdue payments.
  • Negotiate and motivate customers to repay debts in a structured and respectful manner.
  • Understand and document reasons for payment delays through interviews.
  • Monitor and follow up on established payment agreements to ensure compliance.
  • Perform skip tracing to update and verify debtor contact information.
  • Accurately register collection activities in internal systems and tools.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Fluent in Romanian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident and results-driven mindset with a high degree of initiative.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Previous experience in collections or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with call handling systems or debt collection software.
