**EventMobi is a remote-first company, and this is a fully remote position. You may reside anywhere in Canada, provided you can accommodate EST working hours 10 am - 6 pm.

As the Director of Demand Gen, you are ultimately responsible for results, budget, strategy, and execution of all performance marketing programs that drive new business revenue. These programs will include lead generation through paid search/social/sponsorship, outbound, ABM, SEO, and optimizing the website and landing pages for conversion.

Autonomy to you doesn’t mean hiding behind your keywords and executing but working closely with sales and product leadership to create differentiated and value-driven campaigns. You love analyzing sales calls and customer interviews as much as dissecting campaign performance on AdWords. 


This player-coach role is a perfect fit for those who love the work as much as strategy and management. In this hands-on role, your work will focus on optimizing investments and conversions to boost lead generation, pipeline, and revenue. Your strategic decisions will directly impact the sales pipeline and, with a 40-60-day sales cycle, positively influence our revenue growth. 


Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll have at least one direct report, manage external vendors/agencies, and collaborate with content, ops, campaigns, and sales to generate opportunities effectively while minimizing costs.

WHAT YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON

  • Demand Generation Strategy and Accountability for Execution: Responsible for owning the demand generation strategy for achieving pipeline and revenue goals, optimizing channel mix and budget to hit targets. Manage at least one direct report and grow the team as you prove out investments.
  • Constantly experimenting and optimizing: With a mix of PPC, ABM, content syndication, email marketing, LinkedIn ads, and SEO strategy, that is not only innovative but also effective in attracting and converting our target audience into customers.
  • Sales Alignment: Partner with Sales and RevOps to ensure campaigns deliver SQLs that align with revenue targets.
  • Harness Technology and Data: Lead the evolution of our martech stack in collaboration with RevOps to identify signals and capture demand (HubSpot, R2B2, Salesloft, Clay, LinkedIn Navigator and ad platform, Google Search Console/SEMrush, and various industry customer data sources).
  • Resource Management: As a steward of our Demand Gen budget, negotiate with vendors, manage contracts, and allocate resources to maximize our reach and impact. You will own reporting and forecasting of lead gen, conversion rates, pipeline impact, campaign results, and ROAS.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Not Your First Rodeo: You have over 10 years of marketing experience and most recently have led demand gen efforts at a senior level for one or more B2B companies or agencies (2-8 years)
  • Hands-On Experience: Expert-level knowledge of performance marketing and SEO and prior experience managing ABM and lifecycle marketing.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Your approach is based on analytics; you understand how to interpret complex performance data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Tech Savvy: Admin-level expertise in marketing automation platforms (particularly HubSpot) and other sales and marketing tools to their full potential, driving both efficiency and impact.
  • Excellent Communicator: Exceptional communication skills ensure you can articulate strategies, insights, and results across teams, aligning efforts and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Collaboration is second nature to you, ensuring marketing and sales alignment in every initiative.

REMOTE WORKSPACE REQUIREMENTS:
