Job Description

We’re seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to craft an intuitive and visually stunning e-commerce platform that caters to both cafe owners and suppliers. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the user experience from the ground up, working with cutting-edge e-commerce technology on the Shopify platform. You’ll be responsible for creating distinct visual identities for supplier and cafe owner interfaces, developing intuitive user flows, and ensuring a seamless experience across all devices. Responsibilities

Design and optimize a user-friendly interface for our Shopify-based e-commerce platform, catering to both cafe owners and suppliers
Develop a distinct and appealing visual identity that resonates with our target audience and sets us apart in the market
Create intuitive user flows for key processes such as member login, product browsing, and supplier onboarding
Collaborate closely with our marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
Implement responsive design principles to deliver a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Conduct user research and usability testing to refine continuously and improve the platform
Design eye-catching marketing materials for both digital and print use, including conference brochures for our upcoming trade show
Develop a comprehensive style guide to ensure consistent branding across all platforms and materials

Requirements

Strong Shopify experience
Experience in UI/UX design for e-commerce platforms
E-commerce experience with familiarity with how online stores operate, particularly in a wholesale/B2B environment.
A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and ability to create visually appealing interfaces
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
Solid understanding of web design principles, typography, and color theory
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to communicate with developers effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions
A passion for coffee culture and an understanding of the cafe industry is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and meet tight deadlines
Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and e-commerce best practices
