About the Role
Tactacam is seeking an experienced Director, People to join our People & Culture team. Reporting directly to the VP, People & Culture, the Director will be a strategic partner in shaping and overseeing the implementation of programs that enhance employee experience, performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. What You Will Do
Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders, aligning people programs and initiatives with the company's strategic goals.
Support the design, execution, and ongoing evolution of performance management strategies and practices company-wide in partnership with the VP, People & Culture.
Oversee and manage leadership training, employee development programs, and learning initiatives to build organizational capabilities.
Partner closely with leaders to implement impactful organizational design, change management initiatives, and culture-building activities.
Lead the creation and deployment of people-centric programs, including engagement surveys, career development frameworks, employee experience programs, and other department initiatives as required.
Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent and effective resolutions. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) and engage with People Operations as needed.
Champion the use and continuous improvement of HR technologies such as Lattice and Paycom to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Analyze and leverage people analytics and data to inform decisions, shape strategies, and drive measurable improvements in employee experience and organizational performance.
Assist with compensation strategy and salary planning processes, ensuring competitive and equitable practices.
Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition to align talent strategies, workforce planning, and onboarding processes with business needs.
Take on other People & Culture-related assignments & projects as requested by the VP, People & Culture.
About You
8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within tech and/or consumer goods industries, ideally with remote workforce experience.
Exceptional ability to build trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.
Deep expertise in performance management, employee relations, organizational design, talent development, and change management.
Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive people strategies aligned with business goals.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable plans.
Demonstrated experience managing sensitive employee relations matters with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.
Comfortable operating autonomously within fast-paced, dynamic, and occasionally ambiguous environments.
Expert knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Superior communication, influencing, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HR technology platforms including Paycom, Lattice, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Slack.
Proven project management skills.
Previous experience in both large corporate and high-growth startup environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
