The Role

Applies advanced engineering and network principles, theories, concepts and technologies to solve unusually complex problems and issues. 

Location

This is a work from home position from anywhere within the US. 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Intimate knowledge of public cloud, block, file, object, SAN and NAS solutions.
  • Experienced with deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise class storage systems:
  • Native and software defined storage offerings in Azure, AWS, and GCP: Pure CBS, NetApp CVO, ANF, FSxN, GCNv, Silk
  • On-premises technologies: HPE Primera, Hitachi F900, NetApp AFF and StorageGRID, Oracle ZFS, Brocade, Cisco
  • Storage management tools: SSMC, lnfosight, Peer Motion/Online Import, Hi-Command, OnCommand, Cloud Insights, BlueXP, Pure1, Virtana Virtual Wisdom, BNA, DCNM/NDFC
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and ESX, including LVM and MPIO for each
  • Good working knowledge of database technologies, primarily Oracle and MS SQL
  • Microsoft Office 365/Teams/Service Now/Big Panda/Zabbix/PowerBI
  • Proactively monitor health and performance of systems and infrastructure
  • Experience with automation of storage tasks utilizing Terraform, REST, Ansible, Perl, Python, Unix shell, etc.
  • Storage and data replication, snapshots, clones, compression, dedupe, etc.
  • Network design, capacity planning, data migrations
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures also support and implement disaster recovery planning and strategy
  • Document the environment portfolio and create/maintain operational procedures
  • Facilitate, take ownership, and document projects/issues and be available as necessary for a 24/7 environment
  • Acts as primary consultant to leadership detailing the technical requirements and specifications necessary to obtain solutions
  • May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for other employees
  • Requires limited direction and guidance with most tasks 
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent 

  • Professional certifications are a plus: Azure, AWS, GCP, SNIA, Cisco, Pure, NetApp 

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

 

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
