Product Steward - IIoT & Edge (Global)

Love shaping product without owning a 500-item roadmap? This one's for you!

Portainer is on the hunt for a Product Steward, based anywhere in the world, to champion the direction of our IIoT and Edge offering — from the inside out!

You won’t “own” the product. You’ll guide it, pressure-test it, and ground it in reality. Your job is to make sure our features actually solve problems in real-world industrial and edge environments — you know, the kind where networks drop out and resources are tight.

This role is perfect for someone who lives in the space between product vision and technical execution — and who thrives on being the customer’s voice in the room.

What you'll be doing:

• Be the keeper of context for edge/IIoT use cases inside the product org
• Bridge field feedback and engineering decisions with clarity and precision
• Help design smart, practical features that work where others break
• Validate usability and fit before and after product releases
• Partner with Sales, FAE, and Support to spot patterns, surface pain points, and set priorities

Requirements

What you bring:

• You can be flexible with your working hours to collab with both our local and global teams, and can jump on customer calls no matter where they are in the world.
• You know edge computing, and have lived the IIoT or industrial automation life
• You’ve used (or debugged) Docker & Kubernetes in messy, imperfect environments
• You’re a clear communicator who translates chaos into clarity
• You're comfortable in ambiguity and thrive in cross-functional settings
