Distributor Sales Manager

Job location :  Ireland ( remote) or Northern Ireland with availability to travel for business purpose

Job Description

The Distributor Sales Manager IRE & NI, reporting to the Manager, Sales Manager UK & IRE of Topcon, is responsible for leading our distribution sales efforts in IRE & NI.

The Distributor Sales Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with our distribution partners and directly with our Key Accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring our products are effectively distributed in the market.

Core duties:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth through distribution partners in the assigned region.
  • Manage relationships with distribution partners, including regular communication, training, and support to ensure their success in promoting and selling our products.
  • Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities and partnerships to expand our market reach and increase sales.
  • Identify and pursue new Key accounts or customers and to expand our market reach and increase sales.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges and develop solutions to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure effective product distribution and customer support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition and optimize distribution efforts.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Distribution Management on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics related to distribution sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in distribution sales or end customers
  • A qualification or experience in Geomatics or Civil Engineering role is preferred, but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distribution sales, proven leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and end customers

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners and customers.
  • Self-motivated,  able to work independently with strong desire to generate business
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop relationships with distribution partners.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to drive sales strategies and plans.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed
  • The candidate should be proficient in English language (both written and speaking)
  • The selected candidate lives or is resident in Ireland or Northern Ireland
