Our growing global Consumer Products team brings our members' favorite stories to real life through products and experiences. The team is responsible for overseeing the business and creative execution across merchandise creation, product development, licensee relationships, publishing, marketing, as well as a global division focused on live experiences.
That’s where you come in: we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead the retail strategy for Walmart, Sam's Club, and Walmart Canada. This position will be responsible for driving the development and execution of comprehensive retail strategies that align with our brand goals while fostering strong partnerships with key retail partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for entertainment, and building fandoms along with a deep understanding of the retail landscape. This is an account leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex retail relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Experience in conceptualizing, pitching, and executing a retail strategy for Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Walmart Canada. Aligning with the business objectives, category priorities, and long-term brand goals.
Work closely with global teams (Licensing, Product Development and Creative, Marketing, Merchandise Brand Strategy, etc.) to deliver best-in-class programs across categories, including but not limited to toys, collectibles, apparel, beauty, food, and beverage.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, with the ambition to continue unlocking break-frame opportunities that meet collective business objectives.
Act as a champion for our retail strategy, vision, and messaging, ensuring a clear and consistent approach when communicating with internal teams and retail partners.
Deep knowledge of and passion for Netflix properties and a creative approach to bringing them to life at retail.
Ability to juggle multiple titles and pivot quickly with shifting priorities.
Leverage data and insights to formulate recommendations for future programs.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in retail strategy, account management, licensing or related roles, with a focus on retailers such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Amazon. Proven experience developing and executing successful omni-channel retail strategies that drive growth and deliver results.
Deep understanding of trends, consumer behavior, and global market dynamics with the ability to optimize opportunities on a global scale.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (marketing, category licensing, creative, experiences, games, etc.) and work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Strong network and established retail relationships, particularly with Walmart, Sam’s Club with proven success navigating their complex organizations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present strategies clearly and persuasively.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and optimize business performance.
Proven leadership experience in managing agencies and personnel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $170,000 - $360,000.
