Job Summary 

Responsible for reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and communicating financial results to business teams across the organization. The Analyst will also perform ad hoc analyses and presentations as required. This individual will also participate in new systems development, recommend financial process improvements and may lead implementation of them. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting processes for Shack-level expense (primarily Labor and Operating Expenses) 

  • Support the monthly close process through close partnership with the accounting team 

  • Provide weekly and monthly internal reporting for Home Office and Operations leadership, including insightful analysis to explain trends and variances to plans 

  • Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation 

  • Financial Analysis 

  • Prepare flexible financial models with clean outputs 

  • Analyze actual financial results, identify drivers, and communicate variances from budget/forecast to business partners 

  • Prepare monthly reports and forecast estimates 

  • Business Partner to Functional Leads 

  • Strong, vocal, and professional business partner to executive team to communicate drivers and trends in their business 

  • Presentations 

  • Support in Shack-level reporting such as P&Ls reviews, KPI models, and financial presentations including monthly financial reviews with executives, board of directors’ presentations, and earnings supplemental materials  

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Highly skilled with MS Excel and building dynamic financial models 

  • Able to work independently with little direct supervision 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor based on audience and present confidently and cohesively 

  • Ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners some of whom will have little to no financial knowledge or training 

 

Related Experience 

  • Financial planning and P&L management experience 

  • Retail or hospitality industry experience 

  • Experience in banking or other financial institution 

  • Experience with Tableau, Workday, and Adaptive Insights 

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience  

 

Education Requirements 

Bachelor's Degree 

Finance, Business, Economics, or Related Field

Pay Range - $82,410.00 - $105,110.00
