CURRENT ROOT EMPLOYEES - Please apply using the career page in Workday. This career site is for external applicants only.

The Opportunity

We are searching for a High-Volume Recruiter to join us in building the most transformative technology company ever. We have been able to hire the best team for Root by being intimately aware of who we are and who we are not. We need smart, empathetic problem solvers to provide incredible support for our customers. As a Recruiter you will work closely with our Claims and Customer Service leadership to continue building Root’s best-in-class customer experience. With this in mind, we expect this dedicated and driven recruiter to study the business, work with leadership and our recruiting team to see current/future recruiting needs and be a thought partner in ideating/executing solutions. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting the business and elevating our talented teams.

Root is a “work where it works best” company. This means we will support you working in whatever location that works best for you across the US.

Salary Range: $88,960 - $100,000 (LTI Eligible)

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Facilitate and manage the coordination of our hiring process (scheduling, travel, coordination, etc.).

  • Build a critical comprehension of the Claims and Customer Service teams’ needs when it comes to talent; utilize that understanding to serve as a sounding board for leadership.

  • Live between the business and the candidate - it is your duty to use your context on the needs of the business and the perspective of the candidate to create a best-in-class candidate experience at every touchpoint.

  • Reach out to qualified candidates utilizing tools like LinkedIn, indeed, and other platforms.

  • Explore new channels and strategic partnerships for recruiting and using data to validate or eliminate each hypothesized approach.

  • Critically evaluate our hiring processes and solutions to ensure that we are approaching each specific problem with the best possible solution.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience. Experience with high-volume, customer-facing positions required.

  • Exemplary communication skills - we believe the best communication is authentic, empathetic, and clear.

  • Creative thinking and intellectual curiosity - you will have a high degree of responsibility and ownership over your unique approach. Often, the best approach is not the first one suggested. The ability to think outside the box will be an asset in this role.

  • Analytical skills - we use data to drive decisions, and we are hoping for you do too.

  • Ability to iterate quickly - the solutions we have used in the past are not always what should be used today. We change our approach with the dynamic needs of the business.

  • Ownership - you will be working with a great deal of autonomy to meet our hiring needs. We are hoping you thrive when given the opportunity and freedom to solve problems.
