Job description

Job Overview:

As an assessment data intern you will play a crucial role in developing software to create custom reports and perform complex data analysis tasks. Work will involve preparing and processing data according to specifications documents; creating innovative solutions for a wide range of ad hoc and complex data analysis requests using python. You will work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions to a wide variety of data analysis requests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend client specifications and requirements and translate them into software and ultimately production ready client deliverables.

  • Write Python scripts to perform data analysis and assure the overall quality of the client deliverable

  • Interact with internal and external users to obtain and convey concise problem information in a professional manner by phone, email, and online collaboration tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or PhD program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field

  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software and hardware

  • Must have data analysis programming experience in Python

  • Solid communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • Very detail oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of SQL a plus

  • Programming experience in R a plus

  • Comfortable with working remotely, and using remote collaboration tools, including email and MS Teams.
