Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) to join our Program Finance team. This individual will report directly to the OPIR Baseline Execution Finance manager and work closely with Control Account Managers (CAMs) and the Program Manager (PM) to drive financial results while also maintaining strong internal controls to drive successful program execution. This position is currently designated as on-site.

What You Will Do

  • Provide Finance support in development of quarterly Estimate-At-Completes (EACs), monthly Latest Revised Estimates (LREs) and Program Management Reviews (PMR)
  • Providing support of month-end close financial planning activities and customer/internal reporting
  • On-going communication with Program Managers and CAMs to help manage program cost and schedule
  • Earned Value Management reporting, including generation and analysis of monthly program metrics
  • Coordinate and process budget change requests (BCR) each month
  • Ensuring program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers and IOTs, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate
  • Ad-hoc requests

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Experience with skills like Program Controls, EAC, and/or Earned Value Management Systems
  • Experience with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and submitting earned value customer reporting, such as the IPMR
  • Ability to interface effectively with Program Management team and other functional organizations
  • Experience using SAP/APEX, and PMX
  • Experience using Edit+ and RPLAN
  • Ability to Work under minimal supervision and deadline driven
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills and task flexibility
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
