Role Overview:
FreedomPay is seeking a results-driven, Spanish-speaking Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and expand our presence within Spain. This role will focus on acquiring new clients, building strong partnerships, and strengthening relationships with existing partners. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in the payments industry with a strong understanding of the Spanish market landscape to deliver tailored solutions and exceed revenue target

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting - Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industries such as F&B, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and transportation within Spain.
  • Actively engage in networking events, conferences, and other forums to elevate FreedomPay’s visibility in the market.
  • Relationship Building - Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business challenges and positioning FreedomPay’s solutions as strategic enablers of growth.
  • Sales Cycle Management - Manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and presentations to contract negotiations and deal closures.
  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations tailored to the unique needs of Spanish clients.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development - Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity within the Spanish payments landscape to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and execute localized go-to-market strategies aligned with FreedomPay’s global goals.
  • Partner Ecosystem Development - Collaborate with existing partners and identify new relationships to drive business expansion.
  • Leverage partner networks for lead generation and co-selling opportunities.
  • Customer Success and Retention - Ensure smooth onboarding and post-sale support to foster long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Strengthen client relationships to encourage renewals, referrals, and upsell opportunities.

  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven Sales Track Record - Demonstrated success in selling complex payment solutions within the Spanish market, with a deep understanding of the sales cycle and local business culture.
  • Industry Expertise Solid knowledge of the payments industry, including local trends, regulatory considerations, and major players in Spain.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills - Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills to connect with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strategic Business Acumen - Ability to assess client needs and offer FreedomPay solutions that drive business impact and ROI.
  • Language Proficiency - Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Travel Flexibility - Willingness to travel frequently across Spain to meet with clients and partners.
