Essential Requirement:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian loan settlements. Loan application processing background preferred, but not required (in lieu of the current 3 years of experience in construction role)
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Experience managing progress payments for construction projects.
  • Experience working with project managers and contractors.

About the Role

Freedom Property Investors is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Progress Payment Officer to join our team. As a Progress Payment Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of progress payments for our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers and contractors to coordinate payment schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Progress Payment Management: Oversee the progress payment process for construction projects from start to finish.
  • Review project documentation to ensure payment requests are accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with project managers and contractors to establish payment schedules.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process progress payment requests under project requirements and contract terms.
  • Ensure timely disbursement of payments to contractors.
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of progress payments, including supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of progress payments to ensure compliance with project requirements and contract terms.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.


Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of construction project management and progress payment processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
