Description
Director of Growth Marketing
Data driven, digital-first strategic player/mentor responsible for developing and performing growth strategies across the marketing funnel, including user acquisition, engagement, conversion, content, events, and analytics. This role will drive scalable, measurable impact with a strong focus on performance optimization, user insights, and lifecycle marketing.
Responsibilities
- Develop, complete, and refine growth marketing strategies across acquisition, activation, retention, and referral channels.
- Establish clear critical metrics, important metrics, and reporting frameworks to track, analyze, and optimize campaign performance.
- Direct advertising strategy, including budget allocation, channel mix, ad creative, and continuous optimization, to increase brand visibility, lead acquisition, and return on investment.
- Develop standard methodologies for data-driven decision-making to inform all growth marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate all digital channels, including paid search, paid social, SEO, SEM, content marketing, email, etc.
- Drive growth through experimentation with new channels and tactics.
- Continuously optimize campaign performance through A/B testing, landing page optimization, and creative improvement.
- Coordinate website performance to ensure optimization for traffic, conversion, and lead generation.
- Leverage user data and analytics to develop a deep understanding of the user journey, and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Build and implement lifecycle marketing programs to increase engagement, reduce churn, and drive user dedication.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Developer to monitor and report on campaign performance, analyzing critical metrics like lead generation, engagement, and return on investment.
- Manage and grow a high-performing growth marketing team, encouraging a culture of data-driven decision-making, creativity, and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of growth strategies with overall organizational objectives.
- Leverage CRM and marketing automation tools to construct and optimize user journeys, enhancing conversion and retention rates.
- Evaluate and manage marketing tech stack ensuring data collection and management is actionable.
- Analyze user data and market insights to inform growth strategies and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10+ years in growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing roles with proven success in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Leadership: 3+ years of experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven optimization.
- Extensive experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude), and CRM systems.
- Expertise in paid and organic growth channels (SEO, SEM, social media, influencer marketing, etc.).
- Excellent project management, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full-time, salary position will pay $115,000 - $125,000 per year. Salary depends on the education, experience, and skill level of the individual we hire.
