The Strategy and Transformation (S&T) function is accountable to lead the development, execution, and evolution of AGCO’s corporate strategy.  This includes on-going analysis of the industry and competitive landscape, translating the strategy into business plans, leading a multiyear roadmap of strategic initiatives with expected value creation targets, and establishing change management strategies. The Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation, reporting to the Vice President Global Strategy & Transformation, is accountable to support S&T- led analysis and initiatives that evaluate the corporation’s performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities.  This role will work across functions to analyze the impact of strategic options and partner with senior leaders to develop strategic business cases for recommended strategic initiatives. This role will serve as key S&T lead for the corporate functions and will have an opportunity to lead strategic projects as needed.

 

Your Impact

  • Gathers and analyzes data regarding the evaluation of strategic opportunities (e.g. M&A process), to assist executive teams in business case development, decision making and planning.
  • Assigned to lead some specific strategic initiatives, such as the development of the corporate shared service strategy.
  • Assists project leaders, as needed, in business case development, stakeholder management, and change management initiatives.
  • Partners with functional leaders to evaluate functional capabilities and strategic business growth and improvement opportunities. Works with functional leadership teams to build key improvement opportunities into the annual business plans and project portfolio.
  • Supports the VP of Strategy & Transformation with Board of Director preparation, Sr. Executive presentations, drives the agenda and captures notes/actions of the S&T Leadership monthly team meetings, other ‘chief of staff’ type duties as needed.
  • Accountable for the development and management of the S&T global budget and monthly cost center review.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience as a consultant working on strategy plan development and implementation processes, or equivalent business experience
  • The ability to identify, define and promote (new) strategic initiatives to support achievement of growth ambitions and to optimize cost structures and asset utilization.
  • Be certified in Project Management or have the necessary project management skills gained through experience to support and guide project teams conceptually and analytically in defining business models, business strategies and performance improvement programs and assure alignment with the Corporate Strategy and Mission Statement.
