Job Summary:
As Belden transforms from product to solution company, we are looking for experienced solution line managers (SLM) who understand industrial market segment, with in-depth solution-creation experience that delivers unique customer value. We are driving organic growth and exploring new revenue streams with the leadership and expertise from SLM Team. The Solution Line Manager, Material Handling is responsible for ideating, creating, developing, validating, and launching solutions that deliver specific customer outcomes. They are responsible for the commercial success of such solution sets. They work across functions: marketing, sales, commercial operations, engineering, project management, pricing, operations to ensure customers are delighted by our solutions. A SLM needs to start from an urgent and pervasive customer challenge, designs a solution in collaboration with solution architects and R&D that both incorporates Belden's core competencies and provides a unique value to customers, launch such solution with impact to internal and external target audiences and manages the lifecycle, pricing, P&L of the solution. This is a remote working role, reporting to the VP, Global Products and Solution.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Stay sharp in market trend and sensitive to customer's pervasive and urgent unmet needs, create and define solution set that will directly impact certain customer outcome.
- Organize and lead interlocking workshops with Regional Solution Delivery teams and Revenue Management Office to gather input for solution development, create account plan, and prioritize solution development.
- Develop solution launch package for internal training and external communication to ensure the successful launch and adoption of solutions in the targeted verticals.
- Translate Voice of Customer into common reference architecture, platform, or product development input, and continuously update, improve and refresh them.
- Manage the lifecycle of assigned solution sets, ensure the profitability and ROI of solutions.
- Work closely with marketing and customer experience team to design solution, marketing campaign and training materials. Launch solution set to sales, channels and customers.
- Work closely with engineering team to develop platform, APIs, interoperability to ensure the scalability and ease of use of solutions.
- Work closely with solution delivery team to implement solutions to key accounts.
- Create solution roadmap and winning strategy.
- Create pricing guidance for new solutions, communicate customer expectations clearly to and collaborate closely with commercial operations team to ensure the successful launch of a solution set.
- Work with operations teamto setup internal capability to launch certain solution sets with repeatability, reproducibility, and scalability.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field, MBA preferred
- 10+ years of successful track record of developing and launching solutions to industrial markets
- 3+ years of technical project management skills, in-depth understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Experience in the platform-as-a-service (PaaS) or software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry
- Extensive experience with edge and/or cloud-based solutions
- OT network knowledge for the specialized vertical to understand the systems in the vertical and the networks to enable these systems
- Deep vertical expertise in Material Handling domain
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 - $175,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
