Freedom Forever is currently hiring a Cash Collections Specialist!
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cash Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate collections of outstanding accounts receivable. The Collections Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to promote a positive customer experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a dynamic portfolio of customer accounts, including collections calls and email communications to collect outstanding balances
Work with customers to identify payment plans and negotiate payment arrangements to bring delinquent accounts current
Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities and customer interactions in the Company CRM
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address root causes of delinquency and improve collections processes
Stay up-to-date on all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures related to collections
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED, with some college coursework in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in collections or customer service, preferably in a solar or renewable energy company
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collections software
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
