What will you do at Presence?

A Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal key role in connecting our growing provider network to students in need of life-changing services. You will actively support and guide providers with cross-licensing and clearances in states where they will be delivering services. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating our internal systems to ensure compliance at the federal, state, and district levels. This role is a temporary position for 6 months. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Cross licensing 

  • Proactively support providers in obtaining licenses to create placement opportunities, increase speed to billing, and to maximize provider utilization
  • Provide compliance support to teams including, but not limited to, Provider Empowerment, Finance, Recruiting, Sales, and Legal as needed

Provider Support

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on provider licensing, background checks, and other related requirements for various provider disciplines (ie, SLP, OT, School Psychologist, etc.)
  • Manage cross-licensing process

Managing Compliance Data 

  • Oversee internal monitoring and auditing systems to ensure providers stay compliant with state and organizational requirements for teletherapy services

Special Projects 

  • Create attestation letters, email templates, and/or forms to fulfill school district requests and state board licensing requirements
  • Enroll providers in new training courses and monitor completion of courses

Interdepartmental Support 

  • Build relationships with and serve as the Presence liaison to the state licensing boards and with virtual school coordinators
What we're looking for?
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a licensing/compliance specialist or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Background working in schools preferred
  • Prior experience using Salesforce or another CRM solution
  • Experience working with complex systems and processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through email, video and audio calls, and internal meetings

Where is this position located? 
  • Presence is headquartered in New York City, with our clients located throughout the U.S.
  • We support remote work from other locations in the US
  • This role reports to the Manager of Compliance and Onboarding
  • The hours for this role are 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm EST Monday-Friday
    • 30 hours per week maximum
  • All employees commit to being available on-camera for our Core Working Hours noon-5 pm EST M-F.
