Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Exercise Support Cell (ESC) Chief to join our team! In this role you will get to direct and manage service delivery and rotational training operations across the Army National Guard (ARNG) Combat Readiness Exercise (CRX) Program.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Exercise Support Cell (ESC) Chief, under guidance from the Rotation Director, directs and manages service delivery and rotational training operations across the Army National Guard (ARNG) Combat Readiness Exercise (CRX) Program.
- Directly managing Rotational Unit Combat Readiness Exercises and ensuring delivery of services in line with contract requirements, achieving high-quality deliverables for customers.
- Performing day-to-day management of overall contractor support of rotational training operations, including planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of all necessary functions for Rotational Training Unit’s CRX.
- Organizing, directing, and coordinating planning and production of all contract support for rotational training operations, including instrumentation and communication, sustainment, battlefield immersion, battlefield effects, rotational logistics, and technology insertion.
- Overseeing coordination between each element of the support team, CRX hosting range/training area, IT, and frequency management personnel.
- Producing and disseminating written exercise-specific directives and memorandums, STX lane books, leaders’ books, operational orders (OPORDs), fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), and coordinating instructions, including digital products compatible with currently fielded Mission Command Systems (MCS).
- Synchronizing lane rehearsals and coordinating lane validation.
- Facilitating meetings to address interstate and interservice coordination, providing regular update briefings, and leading nightly synchronization meetings that direct resource utilization 24 hours out and project resource utilization 72 hours out in accordance with the SOW and the Title 32 Commander’s guidance.
- Coordinating the departure of all CRX personnel and equipment from the training installation in accordance with local SOP.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical/business field.
- At least 10 years of related work experience.
- Previous Army CTC experience with knowledge of live fire operations, range operations, and training instrumentation capabilities.
- Clear understanding of the Army training methodology and After-Action Review process.
- Capability to assist brigade and state headquarters with coordinating and synchronizing training, including exercise development, training management, and scenario development.
- Experience with contracted support synchronization, leader book, STX/lane book publication, OPORDs and FRAGOs publication, and OC/T support coordination.
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Government practices and regulations.
- Highly relevant experience working with US Army National Guard (ARNG) or US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Brigade Combat Teams.
- In-depth and current understanding of the missions, functions, and structure of the Army’s Infantry, Armor, and Stryker brigade combat teams.
- Must have a current and active Secret Clearance or above.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education (ILE) (MEL4) Graduate preferred.
- Former Battalion Commander (preferred) with brigade operations officer or equivalent experience with US Army National Guard or US Army training or maneuver brigade.
- Previous combat experience, extensive operations and training management background, and Combat Training Center (CTC) experience.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
