RSM is looking to add an FP&A Manager to our National Finance team! We are open to hiring this role in any location.

Reporting to the FP&A Leader, the FP&A Manager will play a critical role in driving the financial planning and analysis function to support enterprise-wide initiatives. This position is responsible for providing strategic insights, conducting centralized financial analysis and preparing monthly analysis of results to leadership to facilitate informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a proven track record in financial modeling and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core FP&A Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Present findings to senior leadership.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate financial results and strategic initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop and prepare comprehensive monthly/quarterly leadership presentations that summarize financial performance, key metrics, and actionable insights. Provides analysis of monthly financial results to leadership including the interpretation of current month and year-to-date performance as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations and suggest plans to implement course corrections as necessary.
  • Centralize data from various business units to support enterprise initiatives, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc analytical projects as requested by senior management, providing insights on profitability, cost management, and resource allocation.

2. Collaboration with Business Units

  • Collaborate with LOB finance teams and various functional departments to gather insights and provide financial guidance on enterprise initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their financial needs and align FP&A activities accordingly.

3. Process Improvement

  • Best Practices: Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage financial software and analytical tools to enhance reporting capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferrable in a professional services or managed services environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS 

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with individuals that work in other functional areas
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including P&L and balance Sheet
  • Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of change exists
  • Strong communication, prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $171,100

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
