About the Team/Role
As a Sales Support Analyst you will be a direct conduit between the Sales Team, key cross-functional partners, and WEX Bank throughout the sales process to reduce friction, and create a more efficient and effective sales cycle.
How you'll make an impact
Communicate key risk/credit-related decisions to Sales Representatives and Management
SME for Sales team to refer to for questions/process issues within the credit adjudication process
Stay on top of Bank policies and processes and communicate any changes to Sales
Provide the sales team with insight on industry-based financial matters and discovery of specific target prospects to increase and ensure profitable sales opportunities
Lead the creation and present training for best practices to speed up the application process and eliminate back-and-forth between Sales Representatives and WEX Bank
Provide consultative services and training to the Sales Team to help develop their ability to close out the credit adjudication process more efficiently and decrease the overall length of the sales cycle for sales.
Align LOBs credit application process for quicker Bank decisions
Work as a conduit between Sales Representatives (or external partner) and WEX Bank to fulfill application requirements and increase the number of applications submitted and approved (Manage Info Return)
Create and maintain credit application matrix guidelines for the Sales Team to cut down on rejections for incomplete applications (become SME to facilitate application support for Sales)

Answer questions from the sales team on credit/risk-related matters and provide guidance and support
Assist Sales Representatives when they are with prospects or out of the office, and take ownership of the application process/customer communication to provide a seamless sales process
Provide ad-hoc assistance to Sales Representatives through RFP and application process
Consistently review and assess sales cycle performance and identify opportunities to automate or improve ineffective lead-to-close processes
Proactively generate recommendations to address identified opportunities for improvement with measured impact and outcomes and work cross-functionally to bring those recommendations to life.
Perform other duties as needed to improve efficiency and reduce friction throughout the sales process
Analyze lead-to-first dollar sales cycle performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
Develop and implement strategies to automate or improve inefficient lead-to-first dollar processes.
Proactively generate recommendations to address identified opportunities, working cross-functionally to implement solutions.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure support areas of focus effectiveness and process efficiency.
Experience you'll bring
5+ years experience working in a similar role
Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems for data management and reporting (e.g., Salesforce, CRMA) is a plus.
Experience with data entry and basic reporting is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
Proven experience in a sales support or similar role, preferably within the commercial payments environment.
Experience in generating sales reports and analyzing sales data.
Demonstrated experience in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
Experience in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and other sales materials
