The Kyndryl Program 

Your journey as an IT Strategy Consultant will start with an immersive learning program, focused on building a core set of business and consulting skills which you will use working on exciting projects with our flagship clients. We will support you in kickstarting your career by offering shadowing and specialization opportunities during the program. Afterward, you'll have the chance to work in either a Delivery or Go to Market role based on your potential and skills. 

Joining us as part of our Consult team as an IT Strategy Consultant you will become the trusted advisor accountable for delivering highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that provide lasting and measurable value to our esteemed customers.  

Within the IT Strategy Consultant role we will be hiring for two different tracks. One role will have more technical focus and the other having a strong business focus.  

Technical Focus: 

• Provide consulting services by developing technology solutions and offering IT strategy insights based on understanding the client’s business objectives and IT requirements 

• Advise, analyze, and define client IT strategy to increase business value and improve service delivery, including adopting modern techniques and a modern operating model 

• Apply issue-based consulting methods 

• Provide strategies, assessments, recommendations, and plans analytically 

• You will be responsible for analyzing our customers' current business processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for incremental improvement.

Required Experience: 

- Early career experience level. 

- Basic understanding of core services offered by established cloud hyperscalers (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud etc.). 

- Understanding of IT operations and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL,). 

- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills in diverse environments. 

Familiar with new ways of Working, e.g. Agile, Scrum 

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences 

- Familiarity with at least one functional application development language (Java, .NET, Node, etc..). 

- Where appropriate, create applications, dashboards, or other technical outputs to meet client needs. 

- An example project where you implemented technology to solve a real or hypothetical business problem (built an application, created a dashboard, etc...)

 
Preferred Experience: 

- Previous experience in consulting is a plus 

- Degree in, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent educational credentials, certifications, or experience. 

- Experience in project management disciplines 

- Experience in or knowledge of one or more of the following: 

- Application Development and creation of user interfaces – ABAP, SAP UI5, Fiori 

Data engineering and data science 

- Azure, GCP, AWS Oracle Cloud Environments: SLES, RHEL, AIX

- Windows Automation Platforms: Kubernetes k8s runtime, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins

NoSQL DBs: MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, HBASE etc

- Containerization & Microservices: Kubernetes, serverless computing

- Infrastructure as code - Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep etc

- Data visualization experience with any BI tool – SAP SAC, SAP Datasphere 

RDBMS Databases: HANA, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, DB2, etc. 

- Business processes (PTP, OTC, GL, FA, Budgeting, Cash Management, etc.) 

- Certification on key technologies within your platform or area of expertise 

- Ability to articulate key technologies’ impact on security, availability, cost, capacity, etc. 

- Applied experience in Agile (Kanban, SAFe, and Scrum) 

- Knowledge in DevOps Tools including Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent), auromated testing frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit), and Infrastructure as Code

- Understanding of software architecture 

- Familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform's data and AI features (BigQuery, AlloyDB, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI Platform, Vertex AI Studio, Google Agentspace, etc.)

- Competency with Python and Jupiter Notebooks for data manipulation.
