As Administrative Program Director, you will oversee various support activities involved in new projects, services, policies and procedures related to the Continuing Medical Education Program. Serving as a departmental leader, you will manage multiple complex educational initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within budget and deadlines. You will plan and execute in-person, virtual and hybrid conferences, symposia and workshops to drive engagement, audience participation, sponsorships and progress. Additionally, this role requires regular program assessment to identify and implement improvements. Ultimately, your efforts are vital to advancing the Cleveland Clinic mission of educating Cardiologists and surgeons worldwide on best practices, research and medical innovations.

A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with local and CME Conference travel requirements as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Direct administrative, analytical and managerial support related to integration and implementation of new projects, services, policies and procedures. 
  • Advise the Institute/Division/Hospital leadership regarding various processes, including integration activities, Human Resources, space and support service requirements to achieve specified goals and objectives. 
  • Research, perform analysis, compile data and advise Institute/division/Hospital Leadership relative to long-range planning strategies, financial forecasting, non-physician personnel management, patient relations, space and equipment, marketing strategies and external relations. 
  • Maintain an effective organizational structure and ensure proper staffing with skilled and trained personnel. 
  • Monitor processes and recommends and implement improvements to ensure maximum service. 
  • Direct the annual budget process and participate in planning strategies related to revenue forecasting, Human Resource needs, facilities, services and market positions. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field 
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, manpower planning, supervision, compliance and operational analysis 
  • Five years of management experience to include budget development and forecasting, assessment of cost effectiveness of systems, planning and management of space and equipment, management of diverse levels of employees, planning and implementation of systems and procedures 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, audience engagement, CME management software, virtual events platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Experience in a medical practice setting or hospital environment 
  • Master’s Degree 
  • Strong understanding of CME program development, ACCME guidelines and adult learning principles

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires dexterity to perform work on a PC.
  • Requires the ability to walk and travel to regional hospitals to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision and the ability to verbally communicate to employees and patients.
