Digital Advertising & SEO Specialist
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Reports to: Head of Marketing

Schedule: 8:00 am–5:00 pm or 10:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday – Friday (AEDT)

About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Advertising & SEO Specialist to manage and optimize our paid advertising campaigns, SEO execution, and performance tracking. This role is responsible for ad posting, campaign execution, reporting, and search engine optimisation to drive traffic and conversions.
As an external team member, you will work closely with the internal marketing team to execute digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will also support SEO execution, tracking performance and implementing improvements. Communication and task management will be coordinated via email, mobile, and project management tools (e.g., Asana).

Responsibilities & Tasks

Paid Advertising Management & Execution
Responsibility: Manage, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across various platforms.
 Task: Post and manage Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Ads based on campaign briefs.
 Task: Upload ad creatives and copy into Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms.
 Task: Optimize ad targeting, budgets, and bidding strategies to improve ROI.
 Task: Monitor ad spend and adjust campaigns to ensure optimal performance.
 Task: Set up campaign parameters, including targeting, budgets, and scheduling.
 Task: Ensure proper tracking and tagging for performance analysis.
 Task: Adjust and pause campaigns based on performance data and feedback.
 Task: Ensure all ads align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.

Meta Ads Management
Responsibility: Oversee and optimize Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising campaigns.
 Task: Manage Facebook and Instagram Ads, ensuring proper audience segmentation and targeting.
 Task: Implement A/B testing for creatives, copy, and placements to enhance engagement.
 Task: Monitor and analyze Meta Ads performance data to refine campaign strategies.
 Task: Stay updated with Meta & latest advertising features, trends, and best practices.

Campaign Reporting & Optimization
Responsibility: Track, analyze, and refine advertising performance based on data insights.
 Task: Monitor key metrics such as CTR, CPC, ROAS, and conversions.
 Task: Generate and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports to the internal marketing team.
 Task: Identify trends and recommend changes to improve ad effectiveness.
 Task: Collaborate with the marketing team to refine targeting and budget allocations.

Google Ads Management
Responsibility: Oversee and optimize Google Ads campaigns.
 Task: Set up and monitor search, display, shopping, and remarketing campaigns.
 Task: Conduct keyword research and bidding adjustments to improve rankings.
 Task: Analyze Google Analytics and Ads data to refine campaign performance.
 Task: Stay updated with Google Ads best practices and algorithm changes.

SEO Execution & Support
Responsibility: Support SEO execution to improve organic search performance.
 Task: Conduct on-page and off-page SEO optimizations.
 Task: Perform keyword research and optimize website content accordingly.
 Task: Track and report on organic search performance and rankings.
 Task: Work with web developers to improve site speed, usability, and technical SEO.

Budget Tracking & Performance Reporting
Responsibility: Track and report on digital ad budgets, ensuring alignment with spending objectives.
 Task: Maintain paid media budget tracking sheets, ensuring spending aligns with objectives.
 Task: Generate and deliver weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance.
 Task: Assist in forecasting ad spend and recommending budget optimizations.
 Task: Deliver insights to the Head of Marketing for strategic decision-making.

Collaboration & Communication
Responsibility: Work closely with the internal marketing team by providing regular performance reports, insights, and recommended adjustments for advertising and SEO efforts.
 Task: Communicate ad performance insights and adjustments to the internal team.
 Task: Collaborate on campaign planning and audience segmentation.
 Task: Ensure all advertising efforts complement broader marketing initiatives.

Requirements
Key Skills & Requirements – Non-Negotiables
 5+ years’ experience in digital advertising, SEO execution, and campaign optimization
 Expert proficiency in:
o Google Ads
o Facebook Ads Manager
o Google Analytics
o SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz)
o Looker Studio (or similar web data reporting tools)
o Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
o Comprehensive SEO strategy execution
 Deep understanding of:
o Audience targeting
o Keyword research
o Performance tracking & analysis
 Proven experience in:
o Digital ad budget management
o Campaign reporting
o Ad conversion rate optimization
o Driving SEO outcomes
 Strong data interpretation skills with the ability to translate insights into clear strategic actions
 Excellent organizational skills – able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines across platforms
 Full-time availability during AEST/AEDT hours (Sydney/Melbourne time)
 Ability to ensure advertising efforts align with broader marketing initiatives
 Excellent communication skills for remote teamwork
