Job Overview

The Human Resource Generalist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR services and support across multiple functions within the Duncan Parnell portfolio of companies. This position is essential for driving strategic growth and ensuring operational excellence. The HR Generalist will work collaboratively to implement best-in-class HR practices that align with company objectives. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to foster teamwork.

Essential Functions and Duties 

  • Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices.
  • Maintains current job descriptions and works with management to update as needed.
  • Supports the administration of benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Administers workers compensation claims and maintains records.
  • Assists in payroll processing.
  • Develops and runs the onboarding program for new hires, ensuring a thorough and engaging introduction to the company and its culture.
  • Compiles and timely submits all mandatory regulatory external and ad-hoc internal HR reports.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of prior experience in Human Resources.
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in using MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems

  • Must be able to perform critical physical tasks supporting this position's core functions, including sitting, standing, and walking.
