About the role

Grüns is seeking a visionary Art Director to lead our creative efforts across digital, packaging, retail, and experiential marketing. In this role, you will own the creative process from concept to execution, develop compelling brand narratives, and ensure visual consistency across all touch points. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, growth, and operations teams to drive impactful storytelling and elevate our brand presence. This role will report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer. 

This role is part of our remote HQ! We are open to speaking with candidates from all locations, but candidates based in the Los Angeles area are preferred. We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:
  • Establish creative playbooks and standardized systems for all core creative workflows, including digital, packaging, retail, and experiential marketing.
  • Lead the creative vision for product launches, ensuring a cohesive suite of deliverables across DTC, retail, experiential, and influencer channels.
  • Oversee creative execution for major brand collaborations with an emphasis on high-quality visual storytelling.
  • Build scalable creative frameworks that streamline processes and enhance performance-driven assets without slowing down production timelines.
  • Develop team infrastructure to ensure world-class creative output and execution at scale.
  • Direct photoshoots, video production, and visual storytelling initiatives to maintain brand consistency and quality.
  • Stay ahead of design trends, ensuring all creative assets align with modern aesthetics and industry best practices.
  • Travel quarterly for major campaign productions, overseeing creative direction and execution on-site.
We're looking for someone who:
  • 8+ years of experience in a brand design role, with at least 2-3 years as an Art Director or Associate Creative Director.
  • Strong background in consumer brands or consumer-focused agencies.
  • Expertise in a wide range of design surfaces, including packaging, retail, digital ads, and video production.
  • Proven track record of leading creative functions from concept to execution.
  • Deep understanding of storytelling, visual languages, and evolving design trends.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, AI design tools.
  • Experience in video editing and motion graphics.
