Summary
Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and strategic Product Owner to manage and advance our Decision Support Systems (DSS), Business Intelligence & Analytics initiatives and products.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our solutions address the challenges of managing healthcare data, analytics capabilities and data-driven decision-making supporting Medicaid requirements and at an enterprise level. This role will have a strong background in developing advanced analytical reports that drive actionable insights in healthcare analytics.
Your role in our mission
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with leadership’s short- and long-term goals.
- Align product initiatives with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical requirements for data warehousing and decision support.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, analytics, and compliance to align on project goals and timelines.
- Drive product roadmaps for DSS, BI and analytical reporting across various Healthcare domains.
- Collaborate with both external clients and internal teams to identify and prioritize reporting challenges, focusing on outcomes based analytical reporting (ie, predictive and/or prescriptive)
- Act as a liaison between engineering, data science, and healthcare stakeholders to drive product success.
- Maintain and prioritize a product backlog to ensure focus on high-value features, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of BI and analytical reporting features.
- Translate complex healthcare challenges into actionable user stories and features.
- Define, monitor, and maintain a set of product-related metrics/KPIs to define success and measure progress against it.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitors in Business Intelligence and Analytical Reporting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate our products in the market.
- Partner with training and support teams to develop comprehensive user documentation and training resources.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and business priorities.
- Pare down capabilities, features, enhancements, into clear requirements and enter into Microsoft ADO
- Meet with engineering regularly to groom backlog and guide demos.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Ensure products are scalable, reliable, and meet performance standards.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable product features.
- Advocate for the use of AI and machine learning to enhance decision support
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS guidelines.
- Ensure all product features meet necessary compliance, security standards and compliance with federal and state Medicaid reporting regulations and data governance standards
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Product Manager in the healthcare sector
- Experience in product management or related field managing application lifecycle from ideation to production and support phases
- 7+ years of experience business intelligence, analytics, and/or decision support with a focus on Medicaid or healthcare providing actionable (predictive, prescriptive, descriptive, etc) insights
- Experience working with Medicaid data sets, regulatory reporting, and managed care organizations (MCOs).
- Experience with the following:
- Data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Agile, DevOps, and Cloud technologies
- Health Care/Life Sciences industry - Medicaid and CMS requirements
- Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and SQL for reporting
- Cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, etc)
- Product Management or product design experience for business intelligence (BI) products
- Practical experience with design/collaboration tools and lean, agile methodologies/tools
- Strategy, creating outcome-driven product roadmaps
- Driving creation and management of backlogs
- Navigating large organizations and an understanding of complex stakeholder relationships
- Technical Writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
