The Role 

As the Pricing Lead you will lead the design, development, testing, and roll-out of new pricing approaches and go-to-market strategies. You will establish relationships with product owners, sales leads, and operations/technology heads, leveraging these relationships to identify new strategic pricing opportunities. You will also promote the execution and delivery of new pricing models across the organisation. 

 
What you will do: 

  • Work closely with: 

  • Finance to ensure input costs and reconciliation lined up (FinOps) 

  • Sales team to make sure feedback from market being built into pricing tool 

  • Internal accounting to make sure revenue and margin appropriately featured 

  • Responsibility for identifying and updating input prices for key suppliers 

  • Manage card scheme and interchange costs, including regular reviews of scheme changes and member bulletins 

  • Define pricing strategy from understanding input costs to the offers made as standard, and on a custom basis, including bundles: develop and launch tooling to achieve this 

  • Develop and implement a margin management process, including regular profitability monitoring, which can be delivered across regions and PortCo's 

  • Manage process of re-pricing and monitoring back-book customers 

  • Manage the tools that the sales team will use to deliver pricing and allow quick decisions to be made during sales process 

  • Manage the incentives and revenue share arrangements between PortCo's and Everfield 

  • Develop and manage incentives programmes for salespeople 

 
What we are looking for: 

Key requirements: 

  • Proven capability to operate effectively at all levels and gain the confidence of colleagues and senior management 

  • Knowledge and experience with cross-border / interchange / schemes 

  • Significant and demonstrative in-depth experience in a commercial pricing, management reporting and financial planning role within a complex high transaction business and ideally within payments 

  • Proven ability in leading and developing teams 

  • Strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to respond to policy / scheme changes and reflect them in the strategy of the pricing team 

  • Demonstratable experience of using data to develop commercial and actionable finance strategies that address business and customer requirements 

  • Evidence of setting up new processes and procedures to ensure a customer-centric approach to finance 

  • Strong interpersonal skills showing an ability to collaborate with functional partners  

Desirable experience:  

  • Exposure to alternative payment schemes and methods such as Girocard or equivalent localised payment solutions in Europe 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment 

  • Experience in retail or embedded payments industries 

  • Computer and system literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite, with Alteryx, Tableau, Macros and SQL experience a plus. 

  • Capacity to understand financial dynamics of various products and clients. 

  • Ability to perform research on markets, products, and competitors. 

  • Confident and Agile: Seeking strong communicators who value giving and receiving feedback, easily build relationships, and who are quick thinking, flexible, and always learning and sharing knowledge. 

  • Ability to collaborate on Payments pricing with non-subject matter experts in financial functions
