The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design and develop advanced BI solutions, primarily using Microsoft tools. This role involves data processing, data modeling, and reporting. 
 
The Location: We are considering candidates who are able to work by remote model, based out of the East Coast.  
 
The Requirements:
  • 3+ years as a BI Developer. 
  • Development experience with Microsoft BI tools (Fabric/Power BI, SQL Server). 
  • High-level SQL and DAX querying skills. 
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling principles (strong advantage). 
  • Python experience (advantage). 
  • Experience working in corporate environments and with financial data (advantage). 
  • Experience with source control systems (Azure DevOps or other) (advantage). 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to multitask and manage time efficiently, and a team player. 
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. 
 
The Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across Varonis to develop and deliver comprehensive BI solutions. 
  • Create interactive visualizations and automated reports to support business objectives. 
  • Be part of a highly functional BI and analytics team. 
  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Microsoft Azure Fabric tools. 
  • Perform and document data analysis, validation, and mapping/design, produce data samples/prototypes, and generate ad-hoc reports. 
  • Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources. 
  • Demonstrate strong querying skills, including SQL and DAX, to prepare data for BI reports. 
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users and development staff as needed.
