Job Role: Production Estimator

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary range: 3,000 - 4,000 AUD/month

Setup: Full-time, permanent remote job, Independent Contractor Agreement

Unlike volume builders, we take on unique challenges, including sloping blocks, split levels, irregular shapes, basements, and multi-unit developments. Our in-house design team works alongside architects, often refining and redrawing plans to ensure precision. Every project we undertake is unique, requiring experienced professionals who thrive in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.

Role Overview: As a Production Estimator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project cost estimations. You will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, reviewing architectural and engineering plans, and working closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project execution. Given the complexity of our custom builds, this role demands a keen eye for detail and strong experience in estimating unique residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for custom residential projects.
Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to identify potential issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to refine project plans and budgets.
Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive costs.
Identify discrepancies in plans and coordinate revisions to improve project efficiency.
Develop and maintain a cost database for materials, labour, and other project expenses.
Ensure estimates align with project requirements, budget constraints, and construction timelines.
Support the project team with cost-related insights throughout the construction process.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Production Estimator in the residential construction industry.
Strong understanding of custom home construction, including sloping blocks, basements, and irregular designs.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to interpret and analyze architectural and engineering drawings.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
