Senior React Engineer

About the project: This initiative combines technological innovation with insurance knowledge, providing clients with the strengths of both fields. It encompasses the complete value chain of credit and surety insurance through a unified platform. 

Requirements:  

• 7+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on React.js. 

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. 

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries like Redux, React Router, and styled-components. 

• Deep understanding of component-based architecture and UI/UX design patterns. 

• Familiarity with state management and data flow in React applications. 

• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end applications. 

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and code collaboration workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab). 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 

Nice to have:  

• Experience with TypeScript and/or Next.js. 

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha). 

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools. 

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello). 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. 

 
Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development and implementation of React-based user interfaces for web applications. 

• Architect, design, and implement complex features while ensuring a high level of performance, security, and scalability. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to deliver seamless user experiences. 

• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices. 

• Review and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on coding standards and design principles. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in React and front-end development. 

• Troubleshoot and debug issues, optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team workflows. 

Team: 40 developers, partly a team in France, partly in the USA.     

Schedule: 5/2, 8-hour working day (40 hr per week). CET. Part of the team is in France, but there is a part in America with whom we sometimes need to go to rallies.
