Location:  Remote - US/USA

Summary:

As a Technical Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team that provides technical support across all security industry technology types (access, burg, fire, video).  Provide general oversight on day-to-day activities, to ensure that department items are completed on time and to customer and company guidelines.  Position will coordinate support efforts to both internal and external personnel and be used as a point of escalation.  Identify and provide solutions/tips to resolve department challenges and document items for record. Implement and measure the effectiveness of improved process or operational policies put in place by management team. Provide training and performance management to team. Suggests changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Management:
    • Direct supervision of day-to-day activities of hourly work force to enhance the customer experience.
    • Maximize efficiency, reduce overall operating costs, and promote company growth.
  • Process Improvements:
    • Maintain quality standards by completing audits of work performed to ensure customer expectations are being meet and implement corrective actions to address process, knowledge, or technology gaps if necessary.
  • Create, Update & Maintain Department Resources
  • Training & Development:
    • Assist with the development of training plans for new hires and existing employees to ensure functional knowledge is maintained.
    • Provide constructive feedback and coaching.
    • Contribute to performance management items to include corrective action and appraisals.
    • Ensure personnel items are addressed within a timely manner.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience.
  • 2+- Years: Supervisory Experience - Preferred
  • 2+ - Years: Security Industry Experience - Preferred:
    • Experience with utilizing or troubleshooting physical security hardware is preferred.
  • 3+ - Years:  Helpdesk Experience - Preferred:
    •  Helpdesk support experience or functional area - preferred.
  • Network Knowledge - Preferred:
    • Basic networking and hardware experience - preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics Experience - Preferred:
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred as work is flowed through this system.
  • Computer Literacy:
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft programs.
  • Organization Skills:
    • Must have strong organizational skills to document support and maintain department resources.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Must be able to intelligently communicate (verbal and written) to internal and external Customers and Management.
  • Deductive Reasoning Skills:
    • Must be able to listen, understand, breakdown information being provided, and provide accurate direction on what is needed to resolve technical issues.
