This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 24 hours per week
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am to 6pm Melbourne, VIC

  • Manage and prioritize a bustling inbox, handling approximately 60 emails daily from patients and healthcare partners with efficiency and care
  • Orchestrate seamless patient scheduling by managing bookings through multiple channels, including email and phone
  • Serve as the welcoming voice of the practice, operating inbound phone lines during business hours
  • Drive practice financial health by following up on unpaid invoices with tact and professionalism
  • Proactively engage with patients for rebooking, enhancing continuity of care and practice growth
  • Collaborate closely with the practice owner and manager to continuously improve administrative processes
  • Adapt to new technologies and systems as the practice evolves, contributing to its expansion into allied health services
Requirements
  • Proven experience in medical administration or as a medical receptionist, with a passion for the healthcare industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for building rapport with patients
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume email correspondence and maintain impeccable phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills with a knack for prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in healthcare software and Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new systems quickly
