Job description

Your mission

Join deskbird as a (Senior) Product Manager and take ownership of some of our most critical and technically challenging product domains such as user management, permissions, and integrations to scale how customers configure, maintain, and standardise deskbird to suit their unique needs. Your mission is to build a scalable, flexible, and enterprise-ready application platform, while enabling other squads to build on top of your foundations and actively shaping our overall platform strategy.

Your squad will play a key role in driving deskbird’s strategic ambition to become Europe’s leading workplace management solution serving both end-users and decision-makers alike.

This role demands strong technical acumen. You’ll work closely with engineers as equals to design solutions that solve real customer problems while integrating seamlessly into our existing architecture. If you have experience working with APIs, IAM, roles & permissions, or integrations, this could be a great match.

In this role you will
  • Take full ownership of our application's platform with your product squad, empowering customers to manage users, permissions, integrations, and data with ease. You’ll own the backlog, drive platform features, and be accountable for customer, technical, and business outcomes.
  • Prioritise opportunities that align with our strategy and architecture, using data insights to focus on what delivers the greatest value to both customers and the business.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Design and Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences in an agile environment, maintaining a healthy backlog and facilitating key ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Refinement, Retros, and Dailies.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to validate hypotheses and ensure delivery of high-impact solutions.
  • Drive alignment across teams and contribute to elevating product management practices at deskbird.
  • Continuously improve our product processes in collaboration with the Director of Product.
  • Shape and refine your squad’s vision, strategy, objectives, and success metrics.
What you need to be successful
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager in startups or similar environments, with 3+ years in mid-market or enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Proven success in delivering B2B software solutions, using quantitative (KPIs, metrics) and qualitative data (user research, feedback) for prioritisation.
  • Experience managing complex domains such as public APIs, authentication, role-based access control, and third-party data integrations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, ability to translate business goals into opportunities, and drive go-to-market success.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Lean approaches to balance scope, time, and quality.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder alignment skills, with a coaching mindset.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Bonus points if you have a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
