The AXIOM Examine team is looking for their next Engineering Manager. The Examine team is responsible for the development and maintenance of AXIOM Examine. AXIOM Examine is a desktop product that looks to help examiners access file system, registry, and artifact data for in-depth, integrated analysis.

This cross-functional team is looking for a strong Leader to help execute on roadmap delivery, coordinate with stakeholders across teams and functions, as well as nurture the growth and evolution of their team.

Note: The Candidate must reside in Canada.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Examine team in roadmap and project execution, maintaining high quality standards, supporting daily agile ceremonies, status reporting, and risk management.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Management, UX, Project Management, Customer Support, and other Engineering teams.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and mentorship to support team members’ growth and career development.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging team culture that promotes innovation, learning, and collaboration.
  • Support hiring efforts via recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  • Partner with peers to evolve engineering practices, processes, and culture across the organization.
  • Travel: 10%.

  • Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of proven experience leading software development teams, in a medium to large sized company.
  • Strong ability to drive roadmap execution while balancing technical and business priorities.
  • Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills – able to deliver messages concisely and effectively across different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a positive team culture that encourages trust, ownership, collaboration, communication, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • A team player mindset – committed to helping others succeed and fostering a supportive work atmosphere.

  • Nice to Haves:
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with JIRA, Microsoft Azure, and/or Gainsight.
  • Experience with C#, .net, and/or WPF.
  • Good conflict resolution and negotiating skills; leans into difficult conversations for the betterment of the team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

  • Compensation Range:
  • MIN: $131,200 - MID: $164,000 - MAX: $196,800 CAD
