THE ROLE
The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the payroll processes for several countries.
The role fully remote with experience on Spain, UK and US, reporting to the Global Payroll Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
  • Prepare monthly data input for all assigned payrolls and prepare payroll in line with all monthly
cut-off dates
  • Prepare compensation elements, Accruals and Journal Entries.
  • Accurately maintain all pension and third-party payroll requirements.
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider
  • to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
  • Supporting employees.
  • Provide assistance when required with the related teams in project implementation tasks, audits
  • and year end.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance audits such as Worker Compensation for the US payroll.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ payroll experience and fluent in English.
  • An exceptional eye for detail as well as a proactive and methodical approach to payroll
  • operations.
  • Ability to adapt to change and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working with a global payroll provider/system, UKG is desirable but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of basic local payroll legislation requirements for Spain, Uk and US. Desirable for
  • additional countries: Netherlands, Australia and Canada.
  • Ability to take ownership of payroll processes.
  • Problem solving mindset & positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup and other formulas).
  • Act as the Senior member of the team and require minimal oversight
