Intro and job overview:

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. The program that begins July 1st and concludes September 30th. The UI Engineer Intern will work closely with the Chief Product Officer team.

The Design System is a crucial element in the creation of our products. We are seeking a UI Engineer Intern who recognizes the significance of a well-structured design system and is eager to take responsibility for ensuring the quality and consistency between our Figma design system and our codebase. This position will officially live inside the UX team, but collaborate heavily with the broader Development team.

Responsibilities and duties: 

  • Component Development – Assist in building and maintaining reusable UI components using Angular and PrimeNG
  • Design System Maintenance – Help improve and document the design system, ensuring consistency across products.
  • Collaboration with Designers – Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement design sensitive, accessible, and scalable components.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices – Follow coding best practices, including writing clean, dry, modular, and well-documented code.
  • Accessibility & Performance – Ensure components adhere to accessibility (WCAG) guidelines and optimize performance.
  • Bug Fixing & Improvements – Identify and resolve UI-related bugs and inconsistencies in existing components.
  • Testing & Validation – Write and maintain unit and integration tests for components.

Requirements and qualifications: 

  • Proficient in Git, CSS, Angular and comfortable working with the PrimeNG library
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of design sensitivity
  • Front end or full stack capabilities a must
  • Desire to work closely with or on UX team
