Job Description Summary

This role will lead the Strategic Communication Consultant team within Transamerica’s Retirement business, they will manage a team of communication consultants that work with clients to develop strategies and campaigns to drive participation in their retirement plans, improve financial wellness, and help ensure they have the resources they need to stay on track for retirement. They will partner across marketing and the business to drive high levels of plan sponsor satisfaction, retention and new business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners across sales, product, and relationship management to develop strategic short- and long-term marketing strategies and plans that address current and future revenue objectives.
  • Manage team of communication consultants to deliver strong plan outcomes for all clients, high-levels of client satisfaction, and high client retention
  • Develop consistent and cohesive Communication and Education story; to include deck development, sales training, and finalist presentations
  • Set priorities and manage through people and processes; leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Partner with teams in Product Development, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to drive and build the company brand, sales profitability, and customer excellence.
  • Manage overall communication consultant and C&E offer; which includes RFP responses, work with pricing and finance, and relationship management team
  • Develop strong customer relationships to become the organization’s expert in customer needs and opportunities.
  • Create a positive and performance-driven culture, building repeatable processes to deliver results and coach sales and marketing professionals.
  • Conduct-one-on-one meetings with staff to assess individual needs, work load, issues/opportunities, career path, development and process management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of marketing communications, digital marketing, or project management experience
  • Eight years of marketing experience in financial services or a related industry
  • Five years of management experience
  • Expert understanding of traditional and digital platforms
  • Broad experience developing and executing marketing strategies for complex projects
  • Thorough understanding of the investment products marketplace and distribution process, including how products are priced, packaged and positioned across various
  • Technical acumen to design campaigns that optimize the use of traditional and digital marketing platforms
  • Ability to interpret data and articulate results to diverse audiences
  • Analytical and decision-making skills to identify/prioritize critical issues and interpret data
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client management experience
  • Retirement industry experience
  • Intermediary or institutional experience
  • Familiarity with content management, workflow and other marketing tools such as CMD, CRM, DAM, Workflow, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront
  • Experience in change management

Working Conditions

  • Office environment

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $140,000-$175,000 annuallyPlease note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs.

Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
