Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking to bring in an experienced hands-on “QA Mobile App Tester” to join our product engineering team.

This candidate will ideally possess a strong technical background with a focus on Android and iOS app testing(native/hybrid). As a mobile application tester, your job is to perform secure program testing, review, and/or assessment to identify potential flaws in codes and mitigate vulnerabilities. In this role, you will test an app or piece of software to see how it performs on each device, how operating systems like Android and iOS affect it, and what affects its overall functionality or usability.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Test apps and apks (Android Package Kit) for smooth functionality
Test all new devices for functionality and verifying all software applications are thoroughly tested and meet performance test goals
Reviewing, understanding and documenting all business, design, and functional requirements
Gathering proper system requirements in order to create suitable performance test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, load test scripts, and test data
Working with multiple OEM’s, advertisers and 3rd parties on integration and testing
Test mobile app's behavior under various interruptions: battery strength (full/medium/low), incoming calls, SMS, video calls.
Should be able to provide daily status updates in a large/small audience setup
Perform compatibility testing with various mobile handsets to ensure that functionality works as expected.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Android and iOS device experience, including cross platform desktop/mobile browsers.
1+ year of mobile Application testing on android and iOS
Android App (APK) or Android Device Test Automation Experience
Demonstrable experience of complete mobile device/application test cycle from product requirement definition to customer release
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Needs to have experience in Native Android/iOS mobile app testing, should also have exposure to hybrid application
Tested the application under different networks and Internet speeds including on 3G, 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi
Dynamic multi-tasker
Must be able to multi-task and juggle different sprint priorities in a fast paced team
Ability to follow up, follow through on ALL tasks
Ability to use JIRA would be a plus
