The Role:

The Bioinformatician will design and develop software components for meaningful visualization of sophisticated data sets. You will also invent, develop and implement new algorithms (feature finding, signal processing, etc.) as well as improve and maintain existing software algorithms that are used across multiple applications to do biochemical analysis of mass spec data.

Requirements

You will:

Tackle computational problems by researching, designing, and performance testing.
Interact with internal scientists and external customers to better understand their algorithm and visualization needs.
Provide leadership in evaluating new and emerging analysis technologies.
Participate in engineering discussions with other specialists to advance our overall analysis capabilities.
Bachelors or Masters Degree or PhDs University Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
Typically 5+ years meaningful experience for entry to this level.
Demonstrated experience in data science and algorithm applications is required
Strong quantitative problem-solving skills with a solid background in numerical analysis and love of mathematics
Hands-on experience with data analytics and statistical modeling, including strong understanding of test metrics and statistics
Experience with parallel programming technologies and optimizing code to achieve high performance. AI machine-Learning for algorithm development and familiarity with Agile product development methodologies is a plus.
Programming Language: C#.Net preferred (other object-oriented languages like Java, C++, and Python etc.).
