OpenLoop is looking for a full time RN to join our team remotely. This role will be a member of the OpenLoop Health RN Team, collaborating closely with the RN Team Leads and RN Manager

About the Position

This is an incredible opportunity to support RN operations in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient at the center of everything we do. This role is for a clinical care professional who delivers nursing care using telemedicine modalities and provides support to the RN team.

Registered nurses are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. You'll be at the forefront of healthcare delivery, providing vital support to patients over the phone. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, offering medical advice, coordinating care plans, ensuring optimal health outcomes, and providing an outstanding patient experience.

In addition to providing direct patient care, this role will provide administrative and operational support for the RN Team in close partnership with the RN Manager. The
RN Team Lead will be a resource for complex patient needs,assist with quality assurance, reporting and analytics, support training, and participate in other projects to ensure continuous improvement of RN Team operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to communicate patient lab results.
  • Receive inbound calls, make outbound calls, and complete scheduled RN visits to assist patients with clinical questions or concerns. 
  • Provide medication administration support, recommendations for managing side effects, and care plan support.   
  • Engage with patients in a courteous and empathetic manner, demonstrating sensitivity to their healthcare needs and concerns.
  • Complete detailed documentation of patient care interactions in the ticketing system and electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical leaders and other team members to follow up on any issues or discrepancies identified during the survey process.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay updated on survey protocols, healthcare regulations, and best practices.
  • Meet productivity targets and quality standards established by the organization.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex clinical support calls received by RN team members.
  • Participate in training and onboarding.  
  • Complete additional project work as assigned to support continuous improvement of team operations and patient experience. 
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Must have Active and Unencumbered 50 state Registered Nursing licensure or ability to obtain. At minimum RN must have an active compact license plus active licensure or pending application for CA, NY, and IL. This licensure MUST be reflected on a current CV or provided upon application to be considered. 
  • Must live in the state in which the Compact was granted to be considered
  • Associate degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred. 
  • At least 5+ years of clinical experience in settings such as telemedicine, acute care, or case management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and effectively convey information. 
  • Experience in training and development, quality assurance, and operations. 
  • Above average proficiency in using telecommunication technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems. 
  • Excellent skills in troubleshooting technical concerns and guiding others on use of technology. 
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Full-time role, requiring availability to work extended hours including certain weekends and holidays.

  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus

Salary:

$75,000 - $80,000
