Job description

This is a remote position.

We’re looking for an able and responsible team member to lead NOCT’s efforts in building clean and efficient user experiences. You will be the eyes, ears and brain of the client, and drive NOCT’s teams to bring the client’s strategy to life. A robust understanding of product management, engineering and consumer behaviour is essential.

5+ years experience as a designer
A portfolio demonstrating work in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design or a related field of study
Working knowledge of design tools like Sketch, Figma, Invision, Principle, Adobe Creative Suite

What you need to bring to the table :

Crafting user experiences keeping customers at the centre and with a clear idea of the brand’s vision. Leading strategy, ideation and development of user stories, user journeys and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Striking the right balance between NOCT’s interests, the client’s expectations and consumer experience while crafting digital products. It is a demanding yet rewarding feat that requires extensive research, conceiving, wire-framing, sketching and prototyping.
Taking charge, working independently or with a team, as the project demands, to craft user experience for digital products, from mockups to final finished UI for Android, iOS, and web.
A keen interest in user-centred design. You should be at ease overseeing product evolution, ensuring rapid testing, reworking designs and performing design QA.
Working closely with various stake-holders (clients, developers, writers, designers) to ensure designs are implemented in a timely manner.
Leading a team of designers to build user focused product strategies that are effective and adapted to needs.
Drawing up a complete overview of the product and service through extensive research and market analysis, including any bottlenecks and solutions.
Formulating compelling arguments and solutions to create positive impact
Presenting ideas and thoughts in a coherent and cogent manner
Taking charge of building robust information architecture and elevating product simplicity by resolving and converging all information to just a few screens.
Creating compelling compositions using layout, colour and typography with clear visual hierarchy.
Performing design QA and working closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs
Proactively driving communication with stakeholders to ensure concepts meet the intended project goals - including conveying design decisions, exchanging feedback, ensuring timelines are met, and so on.
